This issue with this statement is the fact that when you get married in one state, your marriage is recognized in other states, therefore making it no longer a state issue, but a federal issue.
That is fine, so long as citizens in a given state have voted on their marriage law.
The problem is when unelected men and women in black robes impose judicial tyranny on a non-supportive populace as was done in California, Utah, and six other states.

You know our court system is a part of our Constitution and our country, so they are in the right when rulings involving the Constitution. Are you against the Constitution?
It is hilarious that the gay members of the gay army claim to not be obsessed with sex, yet this thread was dormant most of this day, and it was a gay person who resurrected it.
They will probably try to blame it on Harrier or Bush.

That's not a "problem" at all. That's how the US Constitution was intended to work. It's called "separation of powers" and its purpose was to protect minorities from "the tyranny of the majority".

LOL!
Today is Christmas, I am sure most of us had better things to do than post on City Data.
The laws which you attack mention nothing about homosexuals.
It is you who claim that you have a "right" to be called "married".
Prove it.
Harrier actually thinks that the government should get completely out of the marriage business.
How come you don't support that common sense proposal?
Are you just after the goodies, or is your true motivation forced societal acceptance of homosexual lifestyles and gay sex, NOT "equality"?
It is always goodies or handouts if we want you straight people just get. All you have are biases and you will never understand what it is to be gay. The laws in question that limit marriage to a man and a woman were created to stop gays from getting married. They are in direct violation of the constitution and equality. I already said I would support the government getting out of marriage, but not untill every single hypocrite straight married person gives up their marriage, until then I want and deserve the same full equal rights. I guess you think that gays are exempt from taxation because we are gay? Since we also pay taxes, we deserve the same representation from the government and it has no reason to deny us marriage equality. No state government has shown any reason for denying marriage equality that will stand up in court, so the federal government will have to force marriage equality upon the states as it did with interracial marriage. That is how it works.

No.
Harrier is against the courts making law, which is clearly unconstitutional.
