We are truly a sick nation, in need of Jesus Christ.
I know. Can you believe that after 2000 years people are still not doing what Jesus said to do?
"Love your neighbor" and "Do unto others as you would have unto you"
I become more appalled everyday at how much attention is being diverted to gay rights and marriage (amongst other social issues). I believe that the government should stay out of all marriage. Common Law existed for how long? I mean come on.The government got itself involved in the institution of marriage for one reason: money. And while everyone is concerning themselves with social issues, the issues that we should be outraged about are being completely ignored. I am a Christian and I also am a Libertarian. I could care less if two men or women enter into a contract to be monogamous and start a household together. I also could care less if a gay couple adopted a child, after all, there are so many that need a loving home and as long as it was a nurturing environment and they are provided for who cares?
And for all of you that use the Bible as a reference to defend what ever position you are taking on social issues: it does not credit you to pick and choose whatever you like and fits your agenda. True, the Bible never states that gay marriage is wrong, but it does define what a marriage is according to God. (notice I said God and not our government)
We are truly a sick nation, in need of Jesus Christ.
A judgment followed by a call to Christ. Hopefully you will find the teachings of Christ one day.
