I've never registered as a member of a party. I never will. I used to split my vote pretty much but the last few years have been voting for more Dems as the Reps moved socially far from where I think. Fiscally, though, I still prefer the Reps and just wish they would get out of the weeds on morality stuff and put some MOR candidates up. I would say the same with the Dems in my district too, who seem to have one issue - amnesty. Having to choose between a tea party Mormon moralist and a nut job leftie like Raul Grijalva in my district is depressing and means that I have to leave a lot of my ballot unmarked. .

Neither party reflects my beliefs or represents the best interests of our nation. In fact I firmly believe that they are one and the same beast. So no I don't belong to either party.

I can not stand either parties along with their idiot supporters. Not too many of them care about the people who elected them and people actually buy into their crap.

Politics makes an idiot out of everyone. I mean look at the threads in this forums. Most threads have no substance. Just another tireless rant about the other party and their views. You all act like bunch of ten year old fanboys. Some of you go out of your way to turn something into a political issue when its not.

Both sides have the same clueless morons. Both parties contributed to everything wrong with back to back mediocre presidents that serve two terms as well as congress who act like children.

One thing is for sure. I'll never vote for a candidate that runs on taking more of our money like Obama did.

"The alternate domination of one faction over another, sharpened by the spirit of revenge natural to party dissention, which in different ages & countries has perpetrated the most horrid enormities, is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism. The disorders & miseries, which result, gradually incline the minds of men to seek security & repose in the absolute power of an Individual: and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of Public Liberty." — George Washington, September 19, 1796

George Washington said political parties will be the downfall of this country.

The people who wouldn't be caught dead in politics are probably the ones who should be politicians. But I guess that is circular logic lol

I'm an independent, but I do lean towards Libertarian in some areas. I'm just confused about some of the beliefs.
