Couple welcomes dozens of homeless people into their home for Christmas dinner | Local | KMTR
" Dale and Pam Kesey have opened their home to hundreds of people less fortunate than them since 1988.

The year, as in years past, the Keseys invited around 40 homeless people to dinner.

Friends and neighbors help with transportation and cooking the multi-course meal.

The tradition started simply because they saw a need.

"When we first started, we just looked over the city of Eugene," Pam Kesey recalled. "There were homeless people everywhere, and we thought what can we do to help? So what we did is just took food out to them, and the next thing we knew we were having these big homeless dinners."

The Keseys believe everyone should feel at home for the holidays, even if only for an evening."
************************************************** ***************************************

Now, here is a liberal couple who has my respect (difficult to do, I might add). They put THEIR money where their mouths are. They aren't demanding the government or anyone else do anything. They open their home, with their money, and feed some homeless people.

Ever think you liberals out there, if you all (half of the country, if not more I might add) did the same thing, the majority of the problems would be sorted out? Instead of forcing the rest of us to follow what you want, even though we don't want too? You liberals could expand this out to everything: Minimum wage earners. Go to your local McDonalds and adopt a worker. Give them an extra 2-3 dollars an hour out of your pocket. The list is endless.

Well? Step up liberals. Take a cue from this couple.

I was going to say, that sounds like something conservative Christians do, it's not even note worthy because it's so common.

Okay, we liberals will step up while you conservatives hoard your money and complain about the working poor.

What we call "liberals" are really statists, who want less liberty for all, not more. Those folks are good people because they are generous and giving, not because they are "liberal".

Stop jabbering and do it.

Conservatives "just do it"(like the Nike commercial) everyday.

Conservatives believe in the power of people to effect change through their own personal gift of time, work, and money.

Liberals scream at how "evil" conservatives are because they don't think that the best way to help people is to vote for government agents to confiscate money at gunpoint to redistribute.

Liberalism fails.

Conservatism works - and actually helps people who need it.

lol, that was my thought. But the media won't cover that and Christians don't do it for political reasons or for an atta boy either.

Conservative christians would never even think to do such a thing, they are too busy spreading hate and harassing people.

Not quite. Only liberals help people who need it.
