LONDON, Dec. 27 (UPI) -- Teenagers are abandoning Facebook in large numbers, citing their parents as the biggest deterrent to their using the service, a European study found.

"Facebook is not just on the slide -- it is basically dead and buried," researcher Daniel Miller, professor of material culture at University College London, said.

Uh; maybe for kids but many older people now have FB accounts since it's so easy to talk with pals out of our past. Too; FB is now real big with companies selling goods and services.

This is not news. My teen-ager (18) discontinued his use of FB about two years ago. It's for us 'old folks' now!

What little I know of it, I agree.

I once signed up under a fake name, promptly forgot my password, and never went back. I wouldn't even know how to use it. Same for Twitter.
