Good post, the least valuable land is in the screaming red areas of the country. I'm sure most of the trailers the right wingers live in are barely worth $1,000
Uh; I'm quite sure if many "left wingers" HAD to work for a living withOUT any illegal aliens being their cheap "slaves" instead of paying proper money for American help, your "blue state" kind would be madder than hell. Too; Detroit is quite "blue". Sheesh!
I didn't realize Detroit had lost half of its population. I think the surplus homes should be bulldozed if it is possible. It seems like that program is in place. They just have to be careful not to abandon any residents in the process. Maybe moving residents in empty neighborhoods to other neighborhoods at no cost is an option? Reading the article it seems like most are very small 2 bedroom homes on small lots. Most families are looking for a minimum of 3 bedrooms. They are not going to attract new families to the area.
Without liberal policies, Detroit would have never been great to begin with. America would never have had such a strong middle class, but thank God you wouldn't have unions, safety laws, or minimum wage!
Ridiculous, liberal policies didnt create a free market enterprise to cause car companies to locate in Detroit nor is it responsible for things like unions or minimum wage which by nature is the reason companies are leaving Detroit..

upwards of 60% of all gun murders in the nation take place in very liberal cities. Its no coincidence that guns, crime, and poverty are results of liberal policies which encourage things like welfare..

And Detroit is far from the only city with cheap houses and land that no one wants. It's just the right's favorite whipping boy for obvious reasons...it's mostly black, Democratic, and is the home of the Big 3 and their union workers...anathemata for right wingers ostensibly.
