Milton Friedman Greed

Pushing protectionism is about as patriotic as the Patriot Act.
From the same individual in the above link:

“For example, the supporters of tariffs treat it as self-evident that the creation of jobs is a desirable end, in and of itself, regardless of what the persons employed do. That is clearly wrong. If all we want are jobs, we can create any number--for example, have people dig holes and then fill them up again, or perform other useless tasks. Work is sometimes its own reward. Mostly, however, it is the price we pay to get the things we want. Our real objective is not just jobs but productive jobs--jobs that will mean more goods and services to consume.”

If a person is not worth $15/hr, they should not be paid $15/hr. The employer should decide who is qualified for a job, and at what wage. Period.
Never heard about shoe tying to be a requirement. The qualifications for a minimum wage job would be the same regardless of where minimum wage is set.

Just raise the minimum wage to $150/hour and be done with this idiocy once and for all!

Ford increased his employees wages OUT OF GREED. He figured out it cost him far more in turnover than paying his employees more.

It had nothing to do with paying people to buy his cars. Common sense would indicate thats completely ridiculous otherwise he would have just passed his cars out for free to his employees in order to save money..

That LIE was made DECADES later to full the stupid.

It's the only way he can get a raise. Hard work, increased skills, education is way to difficult.

Right. A whole lot easier just to vote for the politicians, mostly Democrats, who will take other people's money and give it to us. :-)

There is plenty of cheap housing available in the U.S. You have to seek it out and be willing to actually... gasp... ACT on acquiring it.
