The House bill passed and went to the Democratic controlled Senate where it also passed.
58% of the Democratic Senators voted FOR the Iraq war.
I'll ask again--how'd the Republicans vote?
Keep in mind that congress was being lied to about the dangers posed by Iraq just as the American people were. We were all sold a bunch of BS by the Bush administration. That's why, despite all the attempts to deflect blame, Bush gets the LION'S share of the blame. What part of COMMANDER-in-chief do you people not understand?
Agreed... Here's the rub. We stayed after we accomplished those goals instead of letting the people of Iraq deal with their own problems as they should have.
