Hell, why even have a debt ceiling? The dems ignore it anyway and just keep on spending.
Yeah it's all the dems fault--did you get that from Rush or Fox? This song is getting old.
Breakdown of debt ceiling increases before Obama by presidency:
■ Dwight D. Eisenhower (R): 4
■ John F. Kennedy (D): 5
■ Lyndon B. Johnson (D): 7
■ Richard M. Nixon (R): 7
■ Gerald R. Ford (R): 6
■ Jimmy Carter (D): 6
■ Ronald Reagan (R): 17
■ George H. W. Bush (R): 5
■ Bill Clinton (D): 4
■ George W. Bush (R): 7

There is out of control debt and debt you can handle.
Borrowing to buy a house or a car is fine as long as you can afford it. But, you don't go out and buy a Rolls Royce when you can only afford a Chevy. Or a million dollar house when you can only afford $400,000

Your chart is wrong, There NEVER was a surplus as been explained many times.
Well, seeing we've already spent that money we really have no choice but to raise it.
But the hand wringing, finger pointing and crying to the MSM will occur anyway.
The GOP won't make any cuts and will go along with Obama and the Liberals.
