Sex as in the biological sex of a person (male or female). Not sex as in intercourse.

There is more than one meaning of the word sex. That you only think of intercourse when the word sex is mentioned says a lot about you.
You are correct, of course.
"Same sex" marriage refers to "same gender" marriage, and has nothing whatsoever to do with intercourse, although that seems to be a difficult concept for some to grasp.
It is really no different than asking an expectant couple if they know the "sex" of their baby. Or referring to someone as the male (or female) "sex." It simply refers to gender.
But, since it is apparently so confusing for some, I will do my part from now on and stop referring to "same sex" marriage and will only call it "same gender" marriage - or marriage equality.
Nobody has a right to know anything. It's just that the Left WANTS to know about everyone so they can use their hammer where they think it's needed.

The "right" has made a laughable career over the course of Obama's presidency demanding everything from college transcripts, to tax records, to birth certificates because "the American people have a right to know."
