It's from a text by Augustine where he is discussing men having anal sex with their wives- he directly refers to Romans 1 as an example of Paul talking about men having anal sex with women.
Schock is my representative, but I don't remember him being "anti LBGT", in all fairness.
Is he gay? Of course he is, there is little doubt about that (Where is the picture of him at the cookout wearing a pink shirt and a white belt? LOL). Its not mentioned or admitted by anyone around here where I live, but ask anyone in private and most would agree he is likely gay. (All the people I know don't care, but I actively campaigned for his challenger in 2008 and cannot stand Schock)
His district (IL-18) has sent a Republican to the House for the last 100 years.
He is also the GOP wonder boy, the youngest House member and the GOP is going to use him just like they used George W. Bush:
Find an empty suit who has no original ideas of their own (Schock, Bush) and will do as their told, and you can bet GOP leadership is scheming on how to become "more inclusive" by unveiling Schock as their gay candidate for President someday.
Bet on it. Schock is a rising star and you will hear more from him. Those in power of the GOP (and to a lesser extent, Democrats) don't want those in power with original ideas of their own, they want to maintain the status quo and not rock the boat.
This is old, I don't know why it's blowing up now. As someone from Illinois people have known this guy is gay for years now, even though he just keeps denying it. I don't get these self-hating gays who are so mad that they're gay they fight against it evey chance they get. He needs to just move on and live his life, he's never going to just "stop" being who he was born.
He's had a boyfriend for years, lives with the guy but won't ever let him come along when they're in public and keeps it all a secret. They've been caught together a few times being intimate, and the congressman has been "caught" at gay bars as well.

Who has "caught" him, though? I just find it odd that only far left blogs/sites are reporting this if it's true. (I googled.)
It seems the mainstream media isn't touching this and some more conservative sources are simply reporting on the left having reported it.

I now cannot stand this guy even more. Schock knows, like alot of other wingnuts know, that the only risk they face is getting primaried. There is no way Schock will ever lose his seat to a Democrat.
I suppose he is worried about some rabid Teabagger challenging him in the primary for this heavily wingnut district he represents.
Yep. Why would a straight male feel threatened by homosexuals? I have a cousin that is a homosexual and he is married to his partner. I have family members that are uncomfortable with this fact. It has never bothered me at all. He found someone he loves and has made a commitment. To accept him does not mean YOU have the same sexual identity. It means you accept him for who he is.
I have always suspected those that make an issue about ANY perceived "deviant" behavior are having internal struggles. It is human nature.
He made a commitment to another male?
For what purpose?
I know that men and women enter into binding legal commitments to be sexually faithful and available to each other and that society benefits from heterosexual fidelity when children are born to biological parents who are legally joined in marriage instead of single mothers.
But homosexuals don't create children, so why should we require them to legally commit to sexual fidelity as though they do?
