Bottom line is he played a huge role in revitalizing the city. Places you wouldn't walk at night back in my parents' day (in the city) before Bloomberg and Giuliani are now so nice I couldn't afford the rent. Did the city a world of good.
Those of us who love freedom are celebrating the departure of Nanny State Bloomberg. This world is full of all kinds of idiots who think God gave them the power to tell others how to live their lives. Bloomberg may be the biggest Nanny State advocate of all. Let's rejoice that there is only one Bloomberg in this world.
From what I can tell when a person has that much money the driving force often becomes about power and control. This can be limited to family members, but in Bloomberg's case, well I guess some folks just have bigger appatites.
