There were Afghans who held on to the "old" ways and "old" culture but they lived outside the city. They were village people, farmers, cave dwellers.
The country changed when extremists took over. Countries change through the ruling powers. Look how American has changed, and not necessarily for the better.
We can't win there. Ever. We can't compete with a mindset that manifests into kids with suicide vests. Pack up and move out. There is no victory against an enemy who is willing to take actions we can't comprehend.
How terrible. I can't believe any parent would send their child out to blow themselves up. Sick and disgusting.
Follow the money paid to the family and not the religion. We already learned from Hamas that once the money being paid to families to donate their children to be suicide bombers was cut off, the suicide bombings stopped. Blaming the brother is a misdirection. If one wants a roadmap, just look the 1000's of Palestinian youtube video and watch who is actually doing the fighting and try to find a single adult. Where are the adults? Making films of themselves marching, training, fake missions, firing rockets from the safety of a building, etc.
If Islam wants to go to war...then fine. Lets go to war. Sending children strapped with bombs isn't war. It's cowardice in a the most pathetic of forms.
This is not a new concept for extremist Muslims to send children to war. It was done in the Iran-Iraq War in the early 1980s.
She was probably taught doing that is the ONLY way she can get to Heaven, they didn't tell her she would be one of the 72 virgins promised to the males.
