I don't need rainbow flags flying, I don't need have naked hip thrusting lewd behavior in parades.
In short, gay behavior is abnormal, but I don't care what they do behind closed doors. I don't need to have their lifestyle shouted in my face. They would gain more legitimacy if they did that then expecting the world to think what they do is normal.
Then put your actions where your words are. Don't you ever mention your spouse, your kids, don't show your wedding ring, don't go on valentine's dates, don't go out to dinner on your anniversary. If gay people are to keep their personal lives behind doors then you can do the same.
Oh, and if you have a problem with pride parades, you better also have a problem with Mardi Gras, along with the hundreds of other raunchy straight parades that go on in this country.
There are a lot of people making headlines these days for making anti-gay statements. These people are heavily criticized and some must even pay with their jobs and/or positions.
What I want to know is, why is it wrong to say that homosexuality is abnormal? It is one thing to spread hate speech or discriminate against someone because they are gay or deprive them of their civil rights because they are gay, but I really don't see why it is such a big deal when someone who is high profile says that being gay is abnormal, because it obviously is abnormal.
I have absolutely no ill will towards anyone who is gay. I could easily sit down and have a friendly convo with someone I knew was gay, and I fully support their right to have the same federal benefits as straight couples who've made a legal commitment to one another..... but do I think their sexual preferences are "normal" or "natural"?.....
no, I don't, and I don't see a problem with saying so. There are a lot of people who do things that are abnormal, but that doesn't mean I hate them or would discriminate against them for it.
What is the purpose of your thread but to troll? Just remember there was a time when left-handed people were ostracized by religious groups, and the poor lefties were burned at the stake. Most people who dislike gay people also use religion to back their opinion. Sounds rather silly to me. Hate the sin, not the sinner. So it must have been OK to be left-handed, but a sin to use your left hand!

I will go to restaurants with my wife and child, I will go to parades that are G rated. My life is normal. Two guys want to go out and eat, I think nothing of it as long as they don't start swapping spit or getting each other off under the table. Mardi Gras is a drunkfest I heartily disapprove of.
Pride parades you call it. That "R" rated disgusting display of raunchiness? Seriously? Do you know how many people I have talked to wanting to know how those disgusting people got a permit to parade around mostly naked. And they want legitimacy for their cause.
They would gain more legitimacy if they didn't act like porn stars. All those people need to be on Depo-Provera.
