Killing someone for lying bears no semblence to lie detector tests or supposed constitutional infringements. If you think they do, you need a little reflection...
"Tossing someone in the river" was my hyperbole...
"Supposed constitutional infrinments" is just plain scarry.
I'm watching Christie throwing all his pals under the bus while claiming he knew nothing. When the police suspect someone, they usually suggest a lie detector test. Why not do it with politicians? I'm sure it would cut down on a lot of nonsense.
Are you in favor of across the board lie detector testing for all jobs? There is clearly no problem with a politican lying; there are numerous examples of now easily they get by.

I think I might not have stated it clear enough. If they are presumed to be involved in a scandal, they should be given the option of a test. I don't condone widespread testing. It would have made my day if a reporter at that almost 2 hour, 94 question presser, would have just asked "Mr. Christie, would you consider being subjected to a lie detector test to support your innocence?"
Polygraph machines are expensive. The cost to replace one every time it was hooked up to a politician and caught on fire would be prohibitive.
polygraphs are also extremely inaccurate, they cannot read if someone is lying, all they do is measure heart beat and sweat....that's it, and b/c of that they are not submissable in court.
