In 2007 Dr. Nils-Axel Mörner was interviewed on the subject of sea levels. He is the head of the Paleogeophysics and Geodynamics department at Stockholm University in Sweden. He is past president (1999-2003) of the INQUA Commission on Sea Level Changes and Coastal Evolution, and leader of the Maldives Sea Level Project. Dr. Mörner has been studying the sea level and its effects on coastal areas for some 35 years.

“You have Vanuatu, and also in the Pacific, north of New Zealand and Fiji— there is the island Tegua. They said they had to evacuate it, because the sea level was rising. But again, you look at the tide-gauge record: There is absolutely no signal that the sea level is rising. If anything, you could say that maybe the tide is lowering a little bit, but absolutely no rising.”

The most recent edition of Bloomberg Businessweek features a cover that says “This entire country is about to be wiped out by climate change. It won’t last.” It is devoted to Kribati, a Pacific island chain, and it is a total lie.

The media has been a co-conspirator to the global warming hoax and I take this latest example as one that reveals its utter desperation to maintain the greatest hoax of the modern era. The facts mean nothing to them. Real science means nothing to them. But reality is intruding on theirs and the United Nations environmental program just wrapped up Conference of Parties-19 in Warsaw, where more nations are now in open revolt.

The UN Global Warming Hoax is Slowly Dying

Sigh. Dying? Have you read the other articles by that author? Complete nutjob. wow.

As for Kribati? Heres a recent qoute from their president:
"President Tong has spoken of climate-change induced sea level rise as "inevitable". "For our people to survive, then they will have to migrate. Either we can wait for the time when we have to move people en masse or we can prepare them—beginning from now ...""

If the past is any indication, the liberal "Anthropological Global Warming" hoax will not die but merely morph into the liberal "Anthropological Climate Change" hoax. After all, let us not forgot how it all began during the 1970s with the liberal "Anthropological Global Cooling" hoax.

No matter what the climate does or does not do, liberal freaks will demand huge amounts of taxpayer money ($350 billion in 2012 alone) and massive new government restrictions on anyone making a profit. It is well past time that Americans wake up to that reality.

Sure thing. It's a global conspiracy, designed to stick it to American Conservatives who listen to Fox News. You're on to us.

Whether or not global warming exists, there is no reason not to take care of the environment.

Americans wake up?? LOL. The country is filled with idiots and now they want to import twenty or so million more to make it "fair". Yeah we are doomed. Stock up and make sure you got plenty of ammo.

Real science is basically in a consensus that Global warming is happening. The oceans are the biggest heat sink in the world trapping and storing 90% of heat energy that is trapped on the planet and they have been rising in temperature consistantly.

It's not about the environment, it's about power and control. Do you see Al Gore or any of the other sociopathic bureaucrats and politicians taking the bus?

If the ocean was a "heat sink" wouldn't we be freezing right now?

I think you misunderstand how heat works. Basically the sun heats the earth, based on the earth's position relative to the sun. This is why we have seasons and why the equator tends to be warmer then the poles. What happens to that heat after it gets to the earth is what global warming is about. Basically heat in the atmosphere tends to dissapate more quickly and land is a poor conductor of heat as such heat that is trapped on the earth tends to get trapped in bodies of water. Thus why oceans are called heat sinks, because they are an efficient means of retaining heat, not because they suck heat out of land.

As to why this is important to global warming, put simply when stripped to its absolute minimum global warming is the idea that the earth is retaining a larger amount of heat then it did historically. As such the best place to measure that is where the earth retains heat the best...Oceans and the amount of heat stored in oceans has been consistently on the rise. Thus part of the reason why the overwhelming majority of climate scientists basically support the concept of global warming
