>>> I said both were idiots and both taunted and goaded each other.
I've seen posts here alleging this, but if there is actual evidence of this as presented in court, I guess I missed it. Was the verbal exchange documented and verified by impartial witnesses?
Not doubting that is was....just wondering if anyone has a link to facts as presented in court.
You do realize, do you not, that this is merely a bail hearing and not the actual trial?
And you do realize that a bail grant is often weighed against the strength of the state's case? While no guarantee of a verdict, it is a often a good barometer of the outcome. At this point the only hope for Mr. Trigger Happy is jury nullification. This is Florida, so anything is possible.
Had there been 6 immediate witnesses that saw the entire confrontation and it had gone down the way you think it did, then he wouldn't have. I mean dear god, how hard is it to understand the difference between what *likely* or *may* have happened and actual evidence?

As I've said before, when I carried, I was taught that the armed citizen has a moral responsibility not to engage in unnecessary confrontations. That would include not taunting people when one can walk away. This trial may ultimately rest on, "Did you continue to remain in confrontation with Oulsen when you could have safely walked away?"
