To satisfy the liberals here is a huff link: Reports Of The 'Worst School' In NYC Will Make You Very, Very Depressed (UPDATE)

Worst principal finally shows up on time as probers descend | New York Post

The ritzy student bash at the school with no books | New York Post

Wow. But but Unions really really really care about the children......

This witch of a principle needs to be not only fired, but she should have to pay back money she "earned" over her term there.

Shame on the parents and others who refused to speak up out of fear of the unions and whatever else. My God, how do you let this go on for so long before you stand up and do something about it?

How do you expect the students to learn when what passes as a "principal" dresses like a hooker? How did this woman get her job? Does she have a Masters Degree in Education or is she girlfriend of some union thug?

so my first reaction -- being a geographer, i pull up the map to see where exactly these people are living.

the aerial photo looks like one of those new orleans neighborhoods that was destroyed by katrina, or one of those detroit neighborhoods where they've torn everything down and nature is coming back. there's nothing there but streets -- and some scrubby swampland that's sprouting up in place of houses. something is clearly wrong in that neighborhood, and it goes beyond the school systems.

Being in NY this story makes me very angry. She's earning 6 figures for doing practically nothing. She makes parents who are raising their kids on a small income pay for unnecessary things. She should be shown the door for good along with her fur coat and BMW. Plenty of good people out of work or underemployed that would do better given the opportunity, And it sucks how some workers who take slacking to an extreme keep their jobs for years in some places in city jobs.

The neighborhood was badly damaged by Hurricane Sandy. Do you think the kids don't deserve clean schools and a good education while the neighborhood is rebuilding?

Because it's in a low income area, PS 106 gets $2.9 million in extra funding and the kids don't even have basic books. And that $2.9 million is on top of the $13,000 per student. Looks like that money might be going to pay for the principal's furs.

You'll notice the first comment on HuffPo is about the school needing more money.

HuffPo truly attracts the ignorant.....that's a site I cannot even visit.

This principal is a joke. It's apparent that she doesn't do her job, and even more obvious that they probably won't be able to get rid of her.

Well, maybe Obama will invite her to the Blight House for a beer summit. The way she looks in that picture though, ol' Barack better invite her before Michelle comes back from HI.
