Its up to macdonalds. Perhaps the o.p. would euthanize them?

Restaurants are free to charge a "table fee."

That's what I advise restaurants to do to get the goat-smelling "homeless" out.

Free table 30 minutes with meal during peak hours, 60 minutes off-peak hours.

Table rental is whatever they want to charge. For legal reasons I recommend charging the average amount per order.

Since is that would be tantamount to real damages...

It's about how some people view restaurants as public facilities and feel entitled to park for 12+ hours a day.

This has nothing to do with age discrimination, and everything to do with rude people taking up space that other customers could be taking.

Perhaps not.

I am closer to 60 than 50.

I used to volunteer at an overnight shelter. The goat smell remark brought it all back.

Table fee works for me.

Sounds like the area needs a "Senior center" where all the old dudes and chicks can hang out.
It is pretty sad that these old people only have the "McDonald's option".

Don't disrespect old men or tap them on the shoulder. They might interpret it as an attack and pull a gun on you... and it would be your fault.

Per the article, it looks like there are other choices in the neighborhood, they just prefer to clog up space there.

"Yet there seem to be no shortage of facilities that cater to the elderly in the neighborhood"
