It's still none of your business!!! Which part of you do not have the right to mess with other people's business do you not understand?

If you say so, how's that climb to the top working out for you?

When I said everyone I meant that eveyones pay would be arbitarily mandated to be at least 10.00 per hour.
Which is what raising it to 10.00 per hour would do

The problem is that some companies and business models could sustain this but not all of them can.

Just because Costo's can afford it doesn't mean Joe Shmoe's widget shop with 3 employees can.

Actually quite well. Suggest you go read the thread in Work and Employment forum about people making over $100k.

Also read "the millionaire next door". Great book giving you insight about the rich.

And that's why nothing changes. Greed dictates everything. I work in the Engineering and Design field and with all the offshoring , pay cuts, working leaner , and some other changes in my industry we don't see any decrease in what the end product costs.. actually it just keeps going up.

So , since the employer is now technically losing money since hers/his profits have changed into a negative wouldnt you agree this is a loss of income as a business owner/employer ?
How do you know the employer has a net loss? Raising the minimum wage doesn't automatically mean the employer no longer has a profit and now has a loss of money.

The answer is less income, not necessarily loss of income. And again, there are multiple ways for an employer to handle it.

Oh yeah? So I can only assume you are now a millionaire?

Those businesses should just go bankrupt as they aren't running a sound business model according to urbanlife78.

How do you know Joe's widget shop isn't already paying his employees $10/hr?

How does that help the discussion? If you want to talk about how to become a millionaire in a separate topic, I am glad to participate otherwise this is off topic.
