Those are jails, not prisons. Some of the inmates haven't even been found guilty of anything yet...

IMO prison should be a place you never want to return to but that said, the courts have ruled that defacing the flag is protected by the Constitution.

Your own flag, yes. Those flags were prison property. Some sort of discipline was merited.

Then there was his "anti-corruption" campaign - a really poorly camouflaged vendetta against his political enemies. That was about $17 million of the city's money spent on settling that mess. His ally - the County Attorney - was disbarred over that debacle, so egregious was the behavior.

And now his department has been found to be so rampantly racist, a district judge has ordered a bunch of measures to be taken including cameras in all police cars, improved training of his staff, and an independent monitor to watch the department. 21.9 million of the taxpayers' money.

But hey, he gets to strut his stuff as being tough, and stupid people gobble it up, so there is that.

I read a LOT of accusations and opinions from a VERY biased source with NO collaborating info to back it up.

I will add these inmates have it a LOT better then some of our military personnel overseas.

So? People can be jailed for sentences less than one 1 yr. So you don't really know what you blather.
