I doubt Jesus supported same sex marriage.

He gave a very clear description of what a marriage is and used the words.........."man" and "wife "

Who cares what Jesus thinks? This has nothing to do with religion. Even if his opinion was relevant I'm sure he'd think that everyone should be treated equally and not discriminated against. I doubt the supposed son of god would advocated hate and discrimination. (Besides there is some evidence to suggest that Jesus may have had the modern day equivalent of a gay relationship with John - take the depiction of the last supper for example)

I notice a lot of hypocrisy in this thread.

You guys are claiming a business and religious group has no right to to refuse gay couples services because it would be discrimination.

But when Phil Robertson got suspended for stating his opinion you guys said that the business had every right to discriminate against him.

LMAO! You can't have it both ways.

Legislation like mentioned in OP, gives companies like Hobby Lobby, Chick fil-a the ability not serve because of their bigotry.
Lol Chick Fil A does serve, and even employ gay people. The owners simply don't support gay marriage.

This legislation would not allow these businesses or religious groups to not serve people on the grounds of racial or sexual orientation, it is simply protecting their personal religious rights to not provide a specific service (such as forcing a Christian photographer to take pictures of a gay wedding) that violates their deeply held beliefs. Or to protect churches and synagogues etc... From being sued for not performing services for gay couples.

That's it!

Why take this our of context? Because the reality is that you want to push your lifestyle onto everyone else that disagrees with it and this type of legislation is protecting those people.

Remember the people who owned the bakery in Oregon who lost the livelihoods because they refused to violate their Christian values and bake a cake for a lesbians wedding? That's what this is about. Stopping the bullying by gay activists against businesses and religious groups.

Gay activists can only push so far until people start to push back. They may get away with it in the liberal bend over states like Californi , but not elsewhere.

Business's should not be allowed to discriminate PERIOD. You can believe whatever the hell you want in your personal life, but you can't discriminate on others. The Kansas bill by the way goes much further than just business's but also includes government employees.

So a black owned restaurant should cater to KKK event? Hasidic Jews caterers should be forced to deliver to Nazi events? Really?

We should be allowed to chose in what and how we participate.

Why does a poster barge in with.........."who cares what Jesus thinks?"........

The poster quoted my post which was a direct response to a poster who did mention Jesus.

( regarding forcing a bakery to bake a cake for a gay wedding )

Many people are reluctant to have a restaurant take back their order out of fear what the kitchen staff might do to their corrected order. Yet, some people want to force someone to bake them a wedding cake ?

Not too bright !
