A pure political photo op. Try to find a SINGLE contractor getting minimum wage.

The jobs they have are the best ones available to them already. From an infinite number of self-employment or new-business opportunities to the tens of millions of other employers in the country, they chose to work for the federal contractor.

Along comes Obama, waving his pen, to waste taxpayer money on this small subset of the workforce.

Why not mandate a $15 minimum for brown-eyed people, or a 50% labor premium for those with small noses, or big feet?

Here is the best thing they could do to illustrate the idiocy of attempting to arbitrarily pay workers more than the market value of their labor: make the national minimum wage $15 for registered Democrats, $7 for everybody else. See how long that would last.
the federal government has way before Obama regulated federal workers and contractors. Any company wanting to do busines with the federal government understands this.

If you have a problem with federal scale wage, that problem existed long before Obama. Why is it now a problem?

I wonder if the federal contractors are going to ask for a larger contract price because according to liberals, you can increase the minimum wage and prices will stay the same...

I don't think trying to get min pay levels up to those of the late 60's is a bad thing for our economy.
