But the point of this is that Obama will then turn to Congress and dare them to pass the same for all workers outside of the FedGov.

He's using that EO to bully Congress into doing the same.
And will probably use this as elections get closer.

"See what I did. See what the Republicans in Congress aren't doing."

That has nothing to do with this issue ... and the issue isn't even about wages.

This issue here is about a damned president that thinks he's a king, and no longer abides by the constitution and separation of powers.

He has no legitimate authority to bypass congress, and make his own laws.

First it will be minimum wage hikes, and next, guns. This man is out of control, and is violating his oath of office, and should be impeached ... IMMEDIATELY.

The blatant criminality of this president and his administration is unprecedented, and must be halted, else we end up with a dictatorship, and the abolishment of our representative government.

You don't think having more money to spend would help the economy? Although, it seems like States will act more quickly than the federal government; according to the article below 13 States will institute their own raises.

13 states raising pay for minimum-wage workers

Some of those increases don't seem like much, but at least they're doing something about it and it could serve as a start?
