Almost 60% of the adult population goes to work everyday and most work 8-5 jobs. What is so appealing about coming home from work only to sit on the couch and watch others work?
Dont people prefer to spend time with their family, doing outdoor activities? Whats the obsession with work, work, work in this country? Why so much "reality tv"?
Here are some examples:
Pawn Stars & Hardcore Pawn (watch pawn brokers work & buy & sell all day)
Undercover Boss (watch CEO's work & build up their image)
Cake Boss (watch people work & make food)
COPS & "Border Security"(watch the police work & arrest losers)
South Beach & Lizard Lick Tow (watch people work & tow cars... wow how fun)
Shark Tank (watch investors working)
Miami Ink (watch tattoo artists work & do tattoos)
Judge Mathis, Judge Joe Brown, Judge Alex (watch courts do work)
If you're gonna be home, at least watch movies, news or educational shows. This reality TV is crap.
Its sickening America and other countries thankfully are not doing this!
They can watch reality TV and console themselves that at least they are not as stupid as those people.
Any reality show ( Lizard Lick Towing) that involves guns pointing at heads and a film crew calmly filming is as phony as can be.
I wouldn't watch that show if I got paid !
Yet that happens on COPS all the time. Guess what COPS was real. They had footage they couldn't show on tv of dead bodies including infants in cribs who had been murdered as well as people who had hanged themselves. The camera guys calmly filmed it. The only time the camera crew had trouble filming was when the car they were was rammed into by another car.
In real life repos are made about 3 AM when no one is awake.
Despite this repo men still get shot at and killed with the person getting off the hook because they were able to claim they thought it was a car thief since it was 3 AM. Hence why repo men often do the repos in broad daylight while people are at work instead of at home where the law would back up the homeowner with the gun at 3 am.
I hate all so called reality tv, especially the housewives series. So sick and tired of survivor and big brother also. All of these belong on the trash tv network.
Well, I'm an American
& I don't watch tv, at all.
I realized tv is just another time waster &
a huge distraction from real life.
My time means way too much to me to be pissed away watching the garbage on tv.
Reality shows or any of the other embarrassingly trashy shows-
I'm not tuning in.
Lol I don't even own a tv anymore,
I gave it away.
And I love it when I come across others who have the same mindset on this....
they always- ALWAYS are so much more interesting to interact with than the people who do watch the mind numbingly stupid stuff on tv.
Hehe it would be funny if such a network started and all these trash shows ONLY SHOWED ON THEM
There is already a Reality network. I get it with my FIOS subscription.
