I'd guess your program didn't work, huh?
Typical nasty parent that would turn their back on their child, shun them or treat them like a scourge. That is why so many gay teens commit suicide, because of the hate from their own parents, parents like you.

Pathetic. You'd educate a straight child, but not a gay child.

That is one of the most heartless things I have read in a long time. Do your kids know that your love and support for them is conditional?

The best thing I can take away from a post like this is knowing that your child would be infinitely better off without you in his/her life.

My love is not conditional. My support is, particularly when it would involve a lifestyle choice I find abhorrent and vile. Other choices, not so much. She could do other things such as marry a Democrat and convert, or become a social worker. I'd be pissed, but still support her. Other things, well, she'd be depending on other means to get support there. No matter what, she's my daughter and will have my love.

I'll bet it will tick you off to know that I stopped typing in the middle of this response to go tuck her into bed.

Being gay is not a choice, nor is it a lifestyle. I do not understand why people like you will not understand that we did not make the choice to be gay, no more than you made a choice to be straight.

Wow great parent you are then, so the unconditional love only applies if they are not gay. How unfortunate.

I had good parents who accepted me for who I am. So long as I am happy that's all they care about.

My condolences to them. Perhaps they should consider raising their standards. Bad choice on your part, but hey, it's your life and no concern of mine. *My* daughter, however, is a concern of mine.

LOL, that's hilarious that you're offended by acceptance.

Not offended. If anything, I feel sorry for them, and amused a bit perhaps, at what some people will accept. I'm sure they were full of hope that their child would have a bright future, then to see it thrown away. Some people feel that suffering in this world leads to rewards in the next, and maybe they take comfort in thoughts such as that.
