If the news is accurate this is a Cat-5 storm, and if this was coming towards US, the media would be screaming off the top of their lungs 24/7, but it's going to hit UK, so they don't say a word

There's documentation of heavy rains in all seasons in the transition from the Medieval Warm Era to the Little Ice Age. As I recall it went on for 5 years and caused famines in Britain and Western Europe.
Could it be related to the fact that the storm hasn't reached you yet Over. Maybe the paper made up the whole thing. It's a British paper after all.
