The elderly is doing our country a disservice by milking government and voting in bad politicians.

The same demographic that was the first generations to send their elderly parents into nursing homes so they wouldn't have to smell em?

The same demographic that didn't realize how much luck was actually involved in their success, and spitefully put down the younger generation for being lazy when it's practically illegal to be productive in this country.

The same demographic that turned the country into a literal nanny state and thought it was a good idea to always go to war no matter what, as long as only the volunteer army would go?

And when the elderly parents' financial assets are spent down, what happens?

Claw back, baby...

I don't know if we can really blame them though. They were the first generation to grow up with the TV as a babysitter and friend.

They were dumb downed so much, that they think that the internet is just for "entertainment" and such. The tv was a great experiment in programming the brains of our elders. Too bad that most people today are still babysitting their kids with the tv.

All of the above. But most notably the undereducated and the welfare-dependent.

Or do you think the young and welfare-dependent (propogated by welfare recipients who have a 3 times higher birth rate) and/or welfare recipients aren't costly?

If blame lies anywhere for the current state of affairs in America, it's the boomers.

The biggest costs of the national budget are SS (elderly boomers) Medicare (elderly boomers) and defense.
