Well right now we have tyranny of a single judge...or if the homosexuals manage to get the people of the state to approve of homosexual marriage they leave it alone then..if not lawsuits!

It's about constitutionality and equal protection under the law. That's what courts are for.

According to Nevada law, the process of removing a previously-approved amendment from the Constitution is a long and arduous one. First it has to be approved by two different Assemblies, in other words the same Assembly can't approve it twice -- there has to be an election in between. Then a ballot initiative to overturn the law has to be approved by the people.

I'm not sure why you're so eager to have the vote take place right away, since 57% of Nevadans currently favor removing the ban from the constitution. If you and your fellow cons are right and there is a tsunami of social conservatism sweeping the nation, the political climate in 2016 might be more anti-gay than it is today.

If you're really that obsessed with preventing gay people in Nevada from legally marrying each other, you should be working towards making sure that the GOP retakes the Nevada Assembly.

So why waste money and tie up the courts with frivolous lawsuits? Earlier you said I was a liberal now I am a conservative.......those polls are bs...depends on the area you poll etc. You are going to get different poll results in different states/areas..

The state cannot fight the decision made by the supreme court last year, no state will be able to fight that decision. DOMA was unconstitutional and all state bans on same sex marriage are unconstitutional. All citizens of this country are equal and that includes homosexuals. We pay taxes, we vote, we are US citizens and all the laws in this country need to be fairly and equally applied and bans on same sex marriage have no standing, no grounds, for there is no legitimate reason to deny same sex couples the right to equal marriage. Marriage is a right and it will not and cannot be denied us. And, the majority does not have the right to make laws against a minority, that is tyranny of the majority and where does it end, just with gay people, or shall we include racial discrimination, or sex, or economic discrimination? I feel that those who use their morals or beliefs to judge others or to deny them equality are the ones who are mentally unstable.

No one is equal to another. Marriage is not a right....The states now need to end state recognition of ALL marriage...that will be legal and **** off the homosexual lobby.
