Heh. I lived in NM for several years before going north. I also had a Title III Firearms license which allowed me to deal in NFA or full auto weapons. So routinely where I lived, I would be ripping out mag after mag or belt after belt of ammo. Until some transplants from California called the Sheriff's department on me. They moved out most rapidly when they were told what I was doing was legal. The deputy could barely contain his laughter when he saw the shocked look on their faces and their exclamations that would never happen in California. The deputy informed them that they might want to move back. I saw a Uhaul truck there 48 hours later.
Their biggest failing being the belief they can have reasonable discussion with self-Righteous red voters, eh?
reasonable discussion ?
If you try it's thrown back in your face.
Austin just passed a visitability law.
Every new home must have a ramp, lowered light switches and a first floor wheelchair accessible bathroom.
All this "just in case" a person in a wheelchair visits.
And if you voice opposition then all you hear is how you hate the handicapped and the cost is insignificant and it will make the city more accessible. So the law passes. And then you hear.."I can build that ramp in my garage entrance to my home" so the front entrance stays nice and the ramp is out of view.

If liberals passed that garbage, liberals should pay for it.

Well the smug ones that already own homes are now worried that if they make any changes requiring a permit that they now might have to retrofit their homes and that can run into big money. Turning a first floor powder room into a wheelchair accessible bathroom is major work.
They voted "yes" and put the burden on future residents and are worried that the law didn't explicitly exempt them with regards to renovation.

I have to agree with T-310 (I know imagine that). Let those who supported this cover the costs!

Uhhh, not exactly. Believing the ACA is "deficit neutral" is about as stupid as you can get and we have quite a few left leaning morons here who believe just that.

Nice to say but reality is that the purchasers of new homes will pay more.
The voters say the cost is "insignificant" and new home owners can easily absorb the increase.

I question hypocrisy any time I see it, that's the difference between intelligent people like myself and ignorant blue voters.
