OK, no debate, but because the marriageable age is not specifically mentioned doesn't mean that they had no common sense in those days.
It was not uncommon for young women in Biblical times to be betrothed before puberty.
First blood = old enough to breed.
Frankly, I think the Biblical prescribed marriage rite should be the law of the land:
“When you go out to war against your enemies, and the Lord your God gives them into your hand and you take them captive, and you see among the captives a beautiful woman, and you desire to take her to be your wife, and you bring her home to your house, she shall shave her head and pare her nails. And she shall take off the clothes in which she was captured and shall remain in your house and lament her father and her mother a full month. After that you may go in to her and be her husband, and she shall be your wife. But if you no longer delight in her, you shall let her go where she wants. But you shall not sell her for money, nor shall you treat her as a slave, since you have humiliated her."
Deuteronomy 21:10-14
Now THAT'S a sacred, Bible-based marriage if I ever saw one.
That's why I said its coming soon its not here YET...
That would require re-writing the entire set of marriage laws. As written the laws don't work for more than two people. But if they do, they do. It's no skin off of my nose, and none of my business what other consenting adults do.
One thing I've wondered about polygamy is if one person marries two spouses, are those two spouses also considered married to each other? Or is it more like two separate marriages?
If a bi-sexual person marries a man and a woman, would that man and woman also be considered married to each other?
And once again people's will is overturned by a single tyrant in a robe...pretty sure NO WHERE in the constitution does it say a state must recognize a marriage from another state...sure we will get the usual dodge and deflect and wide broad answers we usually get on how this is constitutional.
Human rights aren't up for a vote. Those arguments are settled in a court of law. You don't get to decide.
Wow...so we don't need elections then!? Sweet. Since its quite obvious no politician gives a crap what his constituents want anymore its all about what makes them money and gives them power...ya know I just remembered. Jesse Ventura is in Mexico now...might contact him and see if I can get work at his tv show.
Exactly. We dont need an election when it comes to a persons rights.

So judges should get to decide what our rights are? If a judge wants to allow polygamy, they should be allowed to do so?
