Weather and supply chain issues, lots and labor, are the reasons being cited by this trade association.
Then there's the combo of tighter lending practices including larger down payments, prices jacked up by builders and continued lack of confidence in the housing market.
Builders were extremely confident during the housing bubble when just about anyone with a pulse could qualify for a mortgage.
Not even remotely likely. Some people blame everything on the one person they hate, no matter how much influence they actually have in it. I am waiting for the thread complaining about a sock missing and how it is Obama's fault.

That's almost an understatement...people could have been just still warm. I knew more than one person who would at best qualify for financially incapible, and each qualified for interest only mortgages on decent sized homes. Let alone flippers that would buy, and sell homes, almost as quick as they could close.

Did you read the article--where is Obama mentioned? Maybe a broader view of sources might be helpful. Most blame it on weather and prices. Doesn't this belong in the real estate forum?
The OP is showing off her skills at 'cutting and pasting', from another website.
The little statement about Obama is simply showing that she is also developing some typing skills, rather like typing "the brown fox jumped over the lazy dog' or such. "Obama" is rather a difficult word to type, as some posters continually show.
Anyway, once the OP finds employment that pays money for cutting and pasting, she is set. Reading the actual article linked to is not, at least she hopes, a requirement.
