theres alot ignorance in this thread. O isnt going to say anymore about whats going in Ukraine anymore than a cat is going to say something about the canary in its mouth.

the protesters in kiev are puppets are far as the obama administration, and team O has been encouraging the hostility toward democracy. One of the protest leaders admitted we paid him 50 grand and our so called "diplomats" were recorded discussing their own unsolicited plans for a new Ukraine regime. this isnt a**hattery or opinion, just google "F*ck the EU" and its very clear that O is behind it all.

The idea that the only options are American Troops on the ground, or doing nothing demonstrates ignorance of not only American History, but basic leadership qualities.

If Obama had maintained a relationship with Putin, none of this might be happening.

It's a little premature to send in the Marines at this time

If Obama had maintained a relationship with Putin, none of this might be happening.

I'm interested: how would President Obama 'maintaining' a relationship with Mr. Putin have prevented this rioting from happening?

After all, the uprising or unrest began last November, when the Ukraine president backtracked on a trade deal with the European Union. In December Russia was seen as 'rewarding' the Ukraine president by cutting gas prices to Kiev and purchasing billions of dollars of that country's debt. Many of the protestors want constitutional reform, moving power away from the office of the president to the Parliament (with many members of parliament wanting a closer relationship with Europe).

So, given that, how would Obama's 'maintaining' a relationship with Putin have changed the Russian-Ukraine relationship?

You've been in Ukraine since Clinton....this would be another area that's out of your league.

You are intervening. You've been intervening since 1994. Quit acting like your hands are clean.

Obama should issue an Executive Order demanding that the Neo-Conservatives he picked to be on his White House Staff, and the Neo-Conservatives that run your Alphabet Agencies since Carter was president to stop bank-rolling opposition parties.

I'm sure it will be just as soon as Obama issues an Executive Order to stop bank-rolling the opposition.

No, exactly the opposite. Putin is your hero and friend, not your enemy.

Yes....it would be happening.....and it would be happening no matter who was president.

As I have commented on 1500x, this is part and parcel of your Geo-Political Strategy.

Like I have said 2500x....it doesn't matter who you elect....when it is time to go into Syria or Iran or anywhere else....you are going to go in.

I don't care if you elect a Democrat or a Republican or if Mother-friggin'-Teresa was president....when it is time, you will go.

The End-Game of your Geo-Strategy is the eastern Russian territories -- Siberia.

It has been since sometime in 1974-1976 when the Social Democrats became Neo-Conservatives.

In order to control eastern Russia, you must control Central Asia --- you had control, but you lost it, because you could not push your hegemony.

In order to control Central Asia, you must control Iran.

From a purely objective stand-point --- without any moral or ethical consideration --- this is the correct strategy to pursue.

If you ask me, "Mircea.....set up a plan so I can achieve Check-Mate and win the game and own the World."

1] Gain control of the Mediterranean Basin to deny Russia any potential allies; to deny the Russian navy the use of any ports; and to deny Russia the use of any States to locate airbases for fighters or bombers....

a) Yugoslavia: Check
b) Libya: Check
c) Syria: In progress

2] Gain control of the Black Sea basin to permit US bases for ground troops, aircraft and naval facilities....

a) Turkey: Check
b) Bulgaria: Check
c) Romania: Check
d) Ukraine: In Progress

3] Obtain air, highway and rail access from the Persian Gulf and Indian Ocean to Central Asia...

a) Iraq: Check
b) Kuwait: Check
c) Iran: In Progress

4] Gain control of the 5 Central Asian States with 5x-7x more oil than the entire Middle East/North Africa...

a) Kazakhstan: On Deck
b) Turkmenistan: On Deck
c) Uzbekistan: On Deck
d) Tajikistan: On Deck
e) Kyrgyzstan: On Deck

5] Gain control of eastern Russian territories with 2x more oil than all of Central Asia....

a) Channel money to opposition groups
b) Arm opposition groups
c) Wait for Russia to respond
d) Use Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Iraq, Iran and Kazakhstan as bases to operate No-Fly Zone to prevent Russia from interfering
e) Hoist the US flag over eastern Russia and rape all the natural resources.

I was in Kiev in December. Even though it was the beginning of the protests, it was an amazing sight. The citizens have incredible compassion, foresight, and fight.

You stating "the people", would be like stating Occupy Wall Street represents "the people" of the US.

These people just want to toss democracy aside and bully their way through, not caring anything about the majority of the country. What is worse is many of these are radical nationalist and far right fascist groups spearheading the violence.
Not so says Russian speaking friends
Some like you want puppet rule by Moscow but many say Nyet
