Ann has yet to come out and directly blast Cruz herself but has tweeted agreement and support for a couple of articles written by Tea Party economist Thomas Sowell in which he calls out Cruz saying that Cruz seems to be more self-serving his own intrests than supporting the party that wants to fight the Presidents actions.
Senator Ted Cruz has not yet reached the point where he can make policy, rather than just make political trouble. But there are already disquieting signs that he is looking out for Ted Cruz — even if that sets back the causes he claims to be serving.
Those causes are not being served when Senator Cruz undermines the election chances of the only political party that has any chance of undoing the disasters that Barack Obama has already inflicted on the nation — and forestalling new disasters that are visible on the horizon.
Where does stuff like this come from? Thomas Sowell has been around for a long time. He hasn't been hired by the Tea Party. I didn't know that they have hired anyone.
I really don't understand the discontent over someone who aspires to do bigger and better things. Why is this referred to as "self-serving" or "only looking out for Ted Cruz?"
Well.....yeah! That's what aspiring leaders do! They want to lead! Why do they want to lead? To affect change! So what else is Ted Cruz supposed to do? Rail against the government without propping himself up as the man to affect that change?
I often wonder why people have trouble understanding this.

Whether you agree with Cruz's politics or not, he is very consistent in his views and doesn't give a damn what people think of him, even his own party.
Case in point, how Cruz very recently forced high ranking Republicans to technically vote for increasing the debt ceiling even though they tried to weasel out of it by trying to finagle a democratic majority vote only to pass the bill. Pretty impressive political maneuver and one that may cost some Republicans their jobs to more conservative Republicans in 2014.

It was more that Highranking GOPs that voted for Debt cieling legislation. I guess Cruz is the self appointed exposer of RINOS.
Thomas Sowell's point is that Cruz is weaking the party that is supposed to be fighting Obama. Instead he is fighting his own party...even by your account.
What Coutler and Sowell may be concerned with that the alternative to these rebuplicans may not be another more conservative person but may not be a Republican at all.
