That whole women's reproductive freedom of choice has some strange aspects to it.
For some reason for even a minor wanting to kill her fetus should be unquestioned, and the abortion should be carried out post haste. To even suggest an ultrascan be done before the abortion, so the mother can make a more educated decision, is outrageous.
But if an adult woman in her early twenties wants to tie her tubes, we need to pull back, deny her request, force her to think about this for a few years, until the woman is old enough to decide for herself?
And that needs to change......but, their thinking is, abortion does not prevent a woman from having a pregnancy in the future that she does want, unlike sterilization, which is considered permanent.
The hypocrisy is strong in this thread. The same people who start race-based threads complaining about black people, pointing out they're thugs, criminals, and lazy welfare baby-mama leeches, are now crying crocodile tears because not enough black babies are being born.
Yeah, pull the other one.

ultra sounds before abortion is unnecessary. not only is it intrusive to give the woman information she already posses, it cost money. women are not stupid, neither are teens we know what abortion is.
yes doctors do not like tying tubes of young women, this should change.
That's the way I read it ... The more of THOSE people that kill their babies the better.
So he DOES support Abortion when he sees a benefit.
By the way, this "Liberal" is against abortion when it is used as birth control.
You highlight an important point. Despite the narratives from the regular partisan political hacks, many social issues like abortion do not fall along party lines. This is why most politicians (across the political spectrum) do whatever they can to steer clear of the abortion debate. To engage in the topic alienates many within their own political wing while it attracts few from outside.
Republicans love to preach about freedom.. unless it involves your body, sexual preference, or choice of religion. Then.. NO FREEDOM FOR YOU!
I agree with you that stereotyping can be a lot of fun, but let's not get carried away here. What percentage of Republicans don't think people should have a choice of religion? I bet it's small. How does this compare to the percentage of Democrats?

Not me!
I'm starting to believe in the "margaret sanger solution" to the "lesser classes".
You lefties have been believers for decades, but didn't know it!
