If you believe that life is a gift from god, you cannot have the opinion that man can take that life at the same time.

A consistent view is god is the only one who gives life and god is the only one who can take it away.

False, the death penalty is widely prescribed in scripture.

I don't believe it is (got examples?), but many things are widely prescribed in scripture that we consider unacceptable or barbaric today.

The death penalty is for serious wrong doing. An unborn child obviously can't have done that. Your "consistency" argument is absurd.

Wouldnt this mean anti death penalty but pro abortion is also a fraud?

Oh wait, a fetus isnt a baby, or so thats how its justified..

How about those who are vegitarians because they dont believe in killing things like cows, but somehow killing a fetus is acceptable..

But the OP is arguing scripture, thus it doesnt matter if you consider it barbaric or not.. the discussion is what those who believe in god believe and where those beliefs come from.

God murdered thousands of innocent children because of perceived transgressions of their parents or ruler.

Correct, but it's not possible to commit a sin in the womb. An unborn child has not reached the age of reason. That's why we don't execute two year olds. I don't understand why you continue to pursue this ridiculous argument.
