He caught hell for it, but he was right. It appears that lawfully present immigrants no matter the number of years can apply for subsidized Obamacare. No need to pay taxes into our entitlement support systems, NO need to even be here in this country for 5 years as before. JUST PASS GO! Our country welcomes you and gives you more benefits than legal tax-paying citizens who have slaved here all of thier working lives.

Not only that, but California is likely to expand it to include illegals as well.

The link you provided does not prove Joe Wilson was right. In case you missed it, this article is about legal immigrants. Joe Wilson's outburst was over a statement about illegal immigrants.

If Obama signs an immigration bill granting legal status to tens of millions of illegal aliens, would the ACA then apply to them as the OP suggests?

"Wilson said Wednesday that a recent award of $28.8 million to 67 community healthcare centers around the country would inevitably end up benefiting illegal immigrants, contrary to Obama’s pledge.

Of that $28.8 million, $8.5 million is earmarked to target migrant and seasonal farm workers — a group that Wilson claims is comprised of illegal immigrants."

While I don't have a problem with community health centers providing health care to anyone, including illegal immigrants, it appears Obama did lie. Community heath centers have always provided care to anyone who needed it on a sliding scale, regardless of residence status, however.

True.

All King Obama needs to do is claim it's too difficult to determine legal immigrant status, and instruct all his administrative agencies to not even bother inquiring about anyone's status or citizenship. Hell, we already allow people to self declare their income status.
