The parents need to be taught how to "parent".
The problem is that there is often only one parent.
Anyway, there are private groups and churches that have had programs like this for a long time, and I commend them.
We also need to get more of these young men into the skilled trades; not everyone needs to go get a bachelors in business or a law degree... we actually have too much of that already.
The Black Family is bleeding out from internally self inflicted wounds and they want Dear Leader to pass out bandaids, stickers and lollypops.
Quite honestly as a 1st generation person of color from the subcontinent I believe Obummer cant stand American Black Culture but sees them only as useful idiots as do most Liberal and Socialist Black Leaders in positions of power.

The correct fix is not to prod others to do something for black people. He should be motivating us. He should be doing what he can to better our education. Instead of telling everyone what to eat - Michelle should be telling young black girls and women to keep themselves from sexual situations - and he should be doing what Steve Harvey does, which is have a camp for black boys 13-18 that gives discipline and structure, while telling them to reach for their dreams.

One parent or two these kids need the proper parenting BEFORE then get in trouble.
The government cannot take the place of the parent although they are trying hard to do just that.
Bill Cosby is about the only one telling the Blacks what they need to do to.
And they don't want to hear it.

It's not totally self-imposed. Liberals have been convincing Black America for decades that they're stupid, incapable, and victims. All to win votes. It has worked very well. Think about that...

What I learned yesterday from the SSM thread - is that even though I complain about government - it's really not the government that needs to change, it's the people. Government reflects the people - regardless of what the rules say at a point in time.
If this is what we are putting out for the next generation, this country is in deep doo-doo down the road.
I also don't think this is by accident, in that others have a vested interest in the decline of this country.

I have never been told that by a single liberal. The only people i see saying anything like that is you and other conservatives... like the post you responded to.

Also as a 1st generation American -- though not of color -- I often feel that that leftists/socialists/"liberals" see many of us as useful idiots, propagating an agenda contrary to the reasons my family came here in the first place.
