You obviously misunderstand the point here. Kentucky isn't forced to allow same sex marriages in their state whatsoever. They are only forced to *recognize* out of state same sex marriages. That's it. No more, no less, no violation of State rights whatsoever.

Please read up on the issue before you comment on it.

Permits/licenses are not the same thing as contracts.

One state does not have to recognize the permits issued by another state. But they cannot at will void another state's legal contracts. Marriage is contractual.

This doesn't surprise me. The progressive left legislates through the courts when they know their initiative is unpopular with the citizenry.

Actually, no. Since permits/licenses are restricted to jurisdictions, whereas contracts are not.
