Battle between state rights and the Federal Government. If the people of Kentucky wanted gay marriage then they would vote to allow it. Until then the Government is out of line.
You obviously misunderstand the point here. Kentucky isn't forced to allow same sex marriages in their state whatsoever. They are only forced to *recognize* out of state same sex marriages. That's it. No more, no less, no violation of State rights whatsoever.

it has everything to do with this topic. after all, if a judge can use the full faith and credit clause to force another state to follow the law, then it should be the same with ccw permits.
Permits/licenses are not the same thing as contracts.
One state does not have to recognize the permits issued by another state. But they cannot at will void another state's legal contracts. Marriage is contractual.
