Agreed in regards to Georgia. After that 2008 war, I am tempted to think that any future reunification of Abkhazia and South Ossetia with Georgia became (much) less likely.

Really,

This concerns the U.S. how exactly?

I feel like it is in our best interests by far to do nothing. We all know this day in age, as psycho as Putin's Russia can be, they would not invade all of Ukraine. Perhaps just Crimea. Which was a historically Russian region anyway and perhaps should belong to Russia.

It is not up to the U.S. to decide, and we really have no interests whatsoever in the region?

I feel like the U.S. govt needs to just shut up on this matter and let happen what needs to happen. Are Ukraine's rights being violated by Russia potentially forcibly invading Ukraine? Or were Crimea's rights violated when they were transferred to Ukraine by Khrushchev without their permission? See what I mean? It's too vague and the US would be foolish to get involved just to spank Putin. We'd be spanking ourselves far more.

3 months from now Obama will claim he never said anything about 'costs' and tell us what he really said.

Huh? Germany should reinstate Operation Barbarossa?

We can wag our finger and shake our head but we had better keep our nose out of it. Its in Russia's back yard and we have no business with any military action. This is when I am very thankful we do not have McCain the "I have never seen a war I did not want to play in" idiot for president. So Obama can stand on his moral high ground which the USA has none, and shake his finger but thats about the extent of it.

Hahah

And I disagree on Russians having a more negative view about USA than vice versa.

This is a great sarcastic post, but shockingly I think you are being serious.
