The UN monitors elections in countries where corrupt officials try to steal elections.

The only people who hate the UN are dictators, terrorists who wish to acquire a WMD, and US republicans.
The UN is a huge black hole for which money disappears into its gaping maw. Staffed by two-bit self-important petty dictators embezzling money as fast as they can before they go back to their 3rd world hellhole. When the UN gets together, the cackling of those hens, the volume of useless paper that is generated which is completely meaningless since it has no face value is monumental. By having a huge staff, the money meant for humanitarian aid is siphoned of so instead of a flood of humanitarian aid, all that is delivered is a thin trickle.

Either get those useless cackling hens out of the US or revamp the entire organization and bring it back into line with its original charter.

Like massive government giveaways to sports teams, but that doesn't stop governments from lavishly giving corporate welfare to sports teams. Bastiat isn't popular reading among US politicians.
