Don't suppose you could clarify what exactly are you referring to?

that's because they don't have a majority in the senate, and they know the president will veto their half baked ideas.

The right-wing has a blind adoration of the ultra-rich. I'm asking for a reasonable explanation.
The pictures you borrowed obviously show that the average person is becoming of less and less use to the rest of society, probably for a variety of reasons:

--Union educators stopped teaching most children to read, write, and figure: all of these are valuable job skills.

--One political party panders to a sense of entitlement and envy, at the expense of personal responsibility.

--More and more of the essentials of life are provided to those who are unwilling or unable to provide for themselves, now health insurance for example.

--As a society, we pay people to not work but we do not pay them as well as a real job would pay.

There is your explanation. You won't like it, but it is the truth. The average person isn't as good as they used to be, economically speaking. Naturally the capable are pulling down a bigger share.

The change in what the economy values goes back to the early 1960's. Kids with higher IQ's were getting into college, graduating and getting richly rewarded by companies for their knowledge. People with lower IQ's were not and worked in lower paying jobs. This is how an economy should worked and your charts show exactly that.

Sooo...by your definition of FAIR....the rich should also pay in the same as everyone else to social security right? I mean that right there would have almost doubled ol Romneys tax rate.....

But notice...nothing in this response you gave addressed the graphs either. Wow.....isnt that fascinating.
The lowest quintiles paid .4% of all federal taxes.

The next quintile paid 3.8% of all federal taxes.

The next quintile paid 9.1% of all federal taxes.

The next quintile paid 17.6% of all federal taxes.

The highest quintile paid 68.8% of all federal taxes.

That means the top 3 quintiles paid 95.5% of all federal taxes.

When you look at just taxes on income the top quintile paid 92.9% of all of those taxes. The top 40% paid 106.2% of all individual income taxes while the bottom 40% paid -9.2%.

In other words the top 60% is already subsidizing most the 2 lowest quintiles social insurance taxes, corporate income taxes and excise taxes.

Wow. OK points for responding to the graphs at least. But:
reading, writing, and math skills are FAR higher now then they have been in the past. The OPPOSITE of what you claim.

that would be which party? The republican one in charge during most of this time?

Fair enough response. I dont agree as these graphs show a MASSIVE and fundamental change starting in 1970.

so that started in 1970? Whats your solution? Start paying people enough? I mean like raising the minimum wage say? Or? I mean hey I'd love universal employment, its one of the things communism promises, but you kinda have to take a ton of bad stuff with it. Sooo...not so fond of that idea. Nor am I fond of the idea of making people suffer and starve in the biggest economy on the planet.

Ironically, since the Bush Tax cuts expired, the deficit became under control. If only Obama could pass tax hikes on the 1%.

Really, taxes for realized income are fine at 39.6%. Just need to tax capital gains the same as earned income. That's how the 1% manage to short change everyone else.

More right wing whining.

The lowest classes pay more in state and local taxes than the wealthy do. Where do you get this ludicrous idea that poor people don't pay taxes?
