The small details is that Ole' Harry WON'T ALLOW ANY House bills see the light of much less give them to the respectful committees and let the rest of the Senators decide for themselves IF the bills are any good are not.
That is certainly true. Ford, for example, was a Republican minority House leader before Nixon made him VP. When Ford became President both houses of Congress were controlled by the Democrats. Since he was never elected to the office, he was essentially only a two-year "placeholder" for the next President. So it made perfect sense that he would veto absolutely everything Congress passed.

It is also important to take into consideration the number of veto overrides by Congress. Bush (43), for example, only used his veto authority once while Republicans controlled both houses of Congress. The remaining 11 vetoes occurred when Democrats either controlled the Senate from 2001 to 2003, or both houses of Congress in 2007 and 2008. The impeached President Andrew Johnson, Lincoln's successor, takes the cake with 71% of his vetoes being overridden by Congress, with Bush (43) a distant second place with 36%. All of Bush's veto overrides occurred when Democrats controlled both houses of Congress.

just look at the 2016 Senate map

The Democratic seats up are in California,Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Colorado, New York, Maryland Connecticut, and Vermont

That is about as safe a field as you will ever see in politics. With the exception of Harry Reid, all those Democrats are popular within their states polling above 55%

Where as the Republican are going to have to defend seats in Arizona, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, North Carolina, Georgia and New Hampshire(as well as their own red state senators).

impeaching a President is political suicide for a party because all you have done is **** off the other Party's base.

so go ahead, install Joe Biden as President, The super majority in the senate for Democrats will last for atleast 6 years(2016 to '24)

And The house would flip to the Dems as well.
I don't know where you got your information from but, it and you are wrong.

I didn't check each sate but I do know NC in your listing is wrong. You have NC as being held by a repub and it is not.

"North Carolina – Kay Hagan enjoyed upset victories in 2008 along with Democrat Governor Bev Purdue and President Obama. Obama lost the state in 2012 and Purdue didn’t even try to run for re-election given her unpopularity (Subsequently won handily by the GOP ticket). Polls show Hagan is upside down in job approval and she will see no shortage of potential opponents."

"There are 21 US Senate seats up for re-election in 2014 that are currently held by Democrats, with more than half of those being vulnerable. These seats were won during the 2008 sweep year when President Barack Obama brought millions of new first time voters to the polls, and helping many of the down-ticket candidates along the way. While the Republicans are defending 14 seats in mostly conservative states, Democrats are defending a mixture of liberal, moderate, and conservative seats. The GOP would need to swing 6 seats to take control of the US Senate"

He/she is talking about 2016, not 2014.

dsjj251 also conveniently left out Alaska. Senator Mark Begich (D-AK) is up for reelection in 2014, and he has absolutely no chance of being reelected. Begich slit his own throat by voting for ObamaCare, and his ardent support for a Carbon Tax will ensure that he never holds any public office in Alaska again. So the GOP really only need to pick up 5 more seats. Alaska is a given. The GOP Primary will determine the next Junior Senator from Alaska.

Impeach? hell no. Destroy his legacy. Why make him more of a martyr than he is already.

Make him want to leave the office so badly that he retreats to the Sandwich Islands not to be heard from for a long time. *******s can then line up to give their Lord and Savoir their money on the speaking circuit for some BB mouth time.

Didn't conservative polls tell you Romney was gonna win by a landslide? I wouldn't put too much faith into those polls.

It is a safe bet to say the Democrats won't be losing the Senate in 2014, and will probably gain a few seats in the House.

You said that Republicans have "no shot at taking the Senate..." This is contrary to most every respectable political analyses out there who give the GOP far more than "no shot." Your dreams and fantasies don't amount to reality.

I don't think that's likely to happen.

Even Rush Limbaugh declared that any fantasies of Obama's impeachment is a childish and a waste of time.

Are they the same analysts that predicted a Romney win?
