Watch the videos in these 2 links it will give you more incite to way to pipeline in bad for America. One couple who owns a farm in Nebraska say the pipeline would one be only 200ft from there home and if there were any oil spill they could have to clean it up

LOL, MSNBC? Really?

Brainwashed?

It makes good sense to build the pipeline. Right now the oil is being shipped by rail, which is very dangerous (but Warren Buffet likes it, because he gets the rail revenue).

How close are homes to the railroad tracks that now carry the oil in tank cars? We've already had some derailments. A pipeline is the save way to transport oil.

Makes good sense for who? TransCanada? Kinder Morgan?
There'll always been both derailments AND pipeline leaks.
Again - the tar sand sludge is headed to Asia after being refined.
There's no warm fuzzies about energy independence or lower fuel costs.

I will take the lower fuel prices we have seen on the west coast with the oil trains. Republicans can argue that higher prices at the pump and the XL Pipeline are better for the environment.

Canada has other options for the crude from the tar sand like building a pipeline to BC. So the pipeline to Texas is good for Texas and China and India but not for the rest of us. Heres an article from the WSJ how shipping by train has kept fuel prices down.

Hey, I drive trains for BNSF for a living. I can categorically tell you no engineer likes pulling loads of crude.

The pipeline is cheaper, safer and more economically viable.

And all you whiners prove to me all the crude is going to China. The crude is going to refineries to be processed into fuels of which some, not all, some may be for export.

Which produces jobs.

Keep drinking the kool-aid.
Asian export plans have been widely documented.
Educate yourself. If that's possible.
