Why should they use tax dollars? The video was apparently cheap to produce, they only spent about $37K on the entire series of videos, BDSM was just 1 out of 51 videos.

"PPNNE's education program uses a range of tools to provide sexual health information on current topics, including an innovative social education program called A Naked Notion that offers accurate and frank information intended to help people stay safe and healthy," she said. "This privately funded program offers medically accurate, trusted sex education, delivered with a peer-to-peer approach."

Gallagher said the videos represent less than 20 percent of the organization's current $186,000 budget for education programs.
Seems like appropriate use of private funds by a "sexual health" organization to me.

mmm..first they are not a sexual health organization but ( jokingly) are supposed to be about women's reproductive health and well being..secondly we already know their history of lying and misappropriating funds

Planned Parenthood Fraud Totals $100 Million in Tax Dollars | LifeNews.com

37,00 for one video x another 50 of similar priced vids ='s one million eight hundred and fifty thousand.. of wasted money that has nothing to do with their primary scope of operation.. and yes you can bet they put their dirty hands into our money to do it..just another reason to defund this corrupt organization here in NH

Funny, PPNNE's mission statement says "Planned Parenthood of Northern New England (PPNNE) is the largest reproductive health care and sexuality education provider and advocate in northern New England.".

The Unionleader article shows where PPNNE's money goes:

So do you want to defund of PPNNE because of the 1% of their budget that went to these videos, the 3% of their budget that goes towards abortions, or the 33% of their budget that goes to contraception? Or maybe you also oppose testing and treatment of STDs?

No, $37K for 51 videos total. So less than a thousand dollars per video. For example, the referenced "kinky" video is about 4 minutes long, and isn't remotely "dirty" by any post-1960 standard:

Did you even watch that video? It's not even close to being porn. Otherwise, with the popularity of the Fifty Shades of Grey books and now the upcoming movie, why shouldn't (young) women be taught about other safe aspects of having sexual relationships?

I used Planned Parenthood in Boston for almost twenty years for my yearly physicals because I didn't have health insurance. I always found it to be a clean, friendly and reasonably priced health clinic for my checkups and to buy my birth control pills from. There were no posters on the walls or pamphlets encouraging women to have abortions. It was just an ordinary doctors office, except for the basket of free condoms by birth control pickup window. I don't understand the Republican hate for this organization.

BTW I think that if Republicans would just keep their noses out of my reproductive system and other women's, they get a lot more support vote-wise from the general public. And yes, I would vote for a RINO like Scott Brown because he isn't against a woman's right to choose. Anyway, the Republican platform has got to lose this pro-life nonsense.

But are you fine with taxpayer dollars supporting baby mommas? Or supporting the foster care system taking care of children with inept parenting skills? Or supporting Section 8 housing and food stamp programs for those who can't afford to raise the children they've produced?

And as to botched abortions, well no branch of the medical profession is 100% perfect in the procedures they do.

Your generalization that all Republicans hate Planned Parenthood is absolutely false. I am a former Republican, now a Libertarian, and I can say that there is certainly a need for a safe, economical place like Planned Parenthood. Should it be funded by the government, no. It should operate as a stand-alone entity, funded by its patients & donors. However, it has no business telling ANY young adults about sexual activities outside of the very basics (what goes where, and how it works). It is discussing that anyone thinks it is even remotely acceptable that an organization should be educating young folks about BDSM (or anything like it). WHAT IS IN YOUR HEAD?!?!?!?!? You want your kids learning about that crap on a PP website? A main stream company with locations that they can see? Its one thing if they are snooping on the internet and come upon an adult website, they know that is wrong (or they damn well should) and should not be doing it. Now there are people saying "sure, lets put it all out there for them to see on a regular companies website"??????

UN-FREAKING BELIEVABLE

Where will the bottom be?? When PP does a video on gag-balls, 2 girls one cup, swinging.....??? WHERE WILL THE BOTTOM BE???????

To your point regarding abortion (you opened the door to Pandoras Box...) I think an important element of your argument is that there is no one person on this planet that can tell you/me/us when a fetus becomes an individual life.

Pro-choice wants to believe it is when the child is born (or damn close to it).

Pro-life wants to believe it is when the child establishes a heart beat.

No matter what, for the life of me I will never understand how another human being can have a life they created, intentionally killed for convenience. Is an individuals' convenience more important than a human childs life?

I am a man, and I have no interest in telling a woman what to do to/with their body. If a mother has/is sustaining a life threatening medical condition because a child inside of her womb (that cannot survive outside yet) certainly presents a justifiable case of having to terminate the baby, or they both die.

However, the last time I checked murder was illegal. And a life terminated for anothers' convenience is murder. Any justification of this is utter nonsense, and represents the absolute very worst of selfish humanity today.

Do what you will, do what you like....but be ready to bear the consequences of what you do and/or like. Doesn't it all really come down to that, not bearing the consequences of ones behavior/actions? (A rhetorical question). And at the foundation of the vast majority of this countries problems today is the ratio of people not wanting to bear the responsibility of their own choices. We all want the ability to make our own choices, but refuse to unanimously agree that facing the consequences of those choices is necessary.

The right to choose? When is it right to murder an innocent? There is no right. it does not exist in the constitution and the premise used to shove this down the American peoples throats was based on a complete lie..seems to be that is the basis for all liberal policy..liee and force that which is evil under the guise of good.

During the Roe V Wade arguments it was cleary and scientifically put forth by secular scientists that life began at conception.. this data was disregarded by the Supreme Court.. truth and science was not what they were after, they were bound and determined to make abortion a right and science and truth meant nothing.
