I never compared any party involved to nazis so you're wrong in invoking Godwin's law.
I just illustrated the point that the 96% outcome is not a reason to question legitimacy of the election.
Only that Crimea was Russian before 1954 and never Ukrainian.
And we are now in 2014 buddy , what world are you living in. Crimea is not Russia at ALL , and what Russia is doing is ILLEGAL. So if a country had a population of 60% Mexicans , should Mexico go there and demand that it is their land now because of so many mexicans living there?
That's exactly what happened to Crimeans in 1954: they were told they're Ukrainians now and not Russians anymore.
Of course in Soviet Union days it didn't really matter which republic you were a part of, Russian was spoken all over Soviet Union, but now the 56% Russian majority doesn't feel like learning Ukrainian, neither do Tatars.
Add to this the grim economic prospects of Ukraine and you shouldn't be surprised that 96% of Crimeans see their future back with Russia rather than with Ukraine, which never really became their home in the first place. Over 50 years since Crimea became a part of Ukraine and Russians are still a 56% majority in the area, while Ukrainians comprise just 25% of population.

You cant just go somewhere , grab a country , and then start saying it is yours. It doesnt matter if the people in crimea are all Russian or not , that land is not part of Russia. So , those that voted and want to be apart of Russia should pack up their **** and leave.

Only that whites were never a 56% majority in South Africa like Russians are in Crimea, right?
Stop with these absurd comparisons and at least learn anything about the history and present of the region you want to discuss...

South Africa whites have 100% majority of South Africa whites.
But the country with a population of 60% Mexicans should have the right to decide if it wants to be a part of Mexico or not, doesn't it? That's what happened in Crimea. Crimeans voted to be a part of Russia. Leave them alone.
