So it does not surprise me he was a drama student then.
Quote:
A drama student who became an internet sensation after claiming he was savagely beaten up for being gay has admitted he caused his injuries himself when he tripped on the pavement.
Richard Kennedy, 18, from Blackpool, told police he was set upon by a gang of homophobes when he left a gay nightclub in Preston, Lancashire, prompting officers to appeal for information about what they called a 'particularly nasty assault'.

There are plenty of other similar cases, such as when a lesbian waitress picked up a check at a restaurant, claiming takat the Christian patrons left her a nasty note saying they refused to tip her because of her lifestyle. Gay activists and their supporters went crazy! They were using the story as ammo for their cause, however it later was revealed that the lesbian waitress was an activist and made the whole thing up. She forged the note herself, and the Christian patrons did in fact tip her.
Now I'm not saying that all claims of homophobia are disingenuous, I know it does happen unfortunately. But it seems like a lot of this anti gay stuff is being overblown and just made up for the sake of pushing an agenda. Really gay activists can be just as bigoted as homophobes sometimes. And I mean REAL homophobes, the kind that legitimately hates and fears gays. Not the decent people who simply disagree with the lifestyle (like me) who are falsely mislabeled as homophobes for just not supporting gay marriage.

I never saw any report of the religion or religiousosity of the patrons - and the fake note did not mention religion.
I think we should always be skeptical about sensationalist accounts like these, no matter what the background of the accuser. Remember that girl who claimed she was attacked by Obama supporters who carved a (backward) B on her head? That was a knee slapper from the outset. Or the lone "Black Panther" at the polling place?

What's the gay "lifestyle"? Or are you just intentionally misusing that word in order to be provocative? Most educated people these days refer to a person's sexual orientation, not any supposed "lifestyle" - unless they're trying to sound like Anita Bryant or Phyllis Schlafly in the 1970s.
And there's nothing to disagree with. You don't choose your sexual orientation. It's as valid to say that you "disagree" with homosexuality as it would be valid to say you disagree with blue eye color.
By the way, calling yourself a Republican or a conservative is not an excuse for ignorance.
