How does this square with right wing views on anchor babies and how will they explain this away?
Mia Love's parents arrived from Haiti in 1973 on a tourist visa and so couldn't bring their children. In late 1975 they were still in the US.
There was an immigration law in place, however, that would grant the entire family permanent resident status if Jean Maxine and Mary had a baby in America.

Hah!! Liberals have found ONE anchor baby they want to deport. Yet meanwhile they want to continue keeping the border wide open to a flood of illegals coming here and having anchor babies for the welfare handouts and free pass around the immigration laws.
At least she was born here - not like Obama's DACA illegals whose parents had them smuggled in.
Also in 1975, there were few illegals here, certainly not 25 millions of them and not many illegals in 1975 were living off food stamps and other welfare handouts.
It would be different today if there were 100,000 illegals here instead of that many coming every couple months. Even in 1985, there were only an estimated 300,000 illegals in the USA.

LOL, the old "that's different". Too funny!
When we came to CO in 1980, there were plenty of immigrants, legal and illegal, here. The menus at the McDonald's in some neighborhoods were in English and Spanish. That is 5 years after 1975, BTW.
How does that make it OK for her parents to have done what they did?
