Would you be willing to bet money on this, because I would certainly be willing to bet money against you on this (that at least one Hispanic/Latino in the U.S. military will agree to take up arms against Mexico in such a scenario)?

I was not talking about culture. Rather, I was talking about wealth, standard of living, et cetera. And No, these things are not necessarily always related to culture.
If Texas wants to become Mexico............I'm okay with that.
That would be unconstitutional ... see Texas v White 1867. No land under the American flag can leave the Union. Once your in, you can never get out.
