Most of the 4.2 mill will be heavily subsidized, and truthully, it will not be until they have been covered one full year, any of us could analyse the average costs.
But the $2,500 claim should NOT be judged versus the stop gap garbage plans, but rather versus non ACA comparable coverage.
My 90/10 plan is not cheap for my employer, and the ACA plans I have seen at the 90% level are in sync with its gross cost. Now if my income were lower, and if I had to pay 100% of my plan's cost, and I were subsidized, I'd save a bundle via ACA.
That is the key-apples to apples is the sole way I compare anything. A friend peddled stop gaps-I know what trash they truly are.
If they're such trash, why is our tyrannical apparatchik allowing people to keep those junk plans for another two years?

In my opinion, that continuance was a mistake made for political reasons. These plans commonly cap Hospital care coverage at 200 -300 per day, leaving the patient with a 1,700-1,800 day bill.
In short, if you want to see how bad these are ask folks with them who were hospitalized.
I don't. Even when I buy individual insurance I'll be using a non state or federal site to purchase it. I won't get any subsidies so there is no point in me doing so. I'll probably call it "Cigna", "Anthem" or "Kaiser". LOL.
It is not the ACA it is the PPACA, however, Obama deserves the credit for this thinly disguised socialist agenda forced upon us as a trojan horse in the form of medical insurance by a Judas Goat and his propaganda machine, so Obamacare it is.
I call it "the unaffordable and I don't care Act". My daughter (a hairdresser) has had her medical costs triple under "the Unaffordable and I don't care Act"
